BREAKING: Mamelodi Sundowns Crowned 2024/25 Betway Premiership Champions
Mamelodi Sundowns have made history again! The Pretoria giants have won their eighth Betway Premiership title in a row after a strong 3-0 win against Chippa United on Wednesday night.
The game was played at the Buffalo City Municipality Stadium, and Masandawana showed why they are the best in South Africa.
- ⚽ Iqraam Rayners scored the first goal in the 11th minute
- ⚽ Arthur Sales added a second in the 69th minute
- ⚽ Sales completed his brace in the 89th minute
Sundowns only needed a draw to be champions — but they went all out for the win. Now, they are 15 points ahead of Orlando Pirates, who can no longer catch them in their remaining four games.
One Game Left, Then CAF Champions League Final
The team, led by coach Miguel Cardoso, will finish their league season against Magesi FC at home on Sunday, 18 May at 17:30.
But the excitement doesn’t end there! Sundowns are also heading to the CAF Champions League final, where they will play Pyramids FC of Egypt:
