Thabiso Sesane, born on May 30, 2000, in Snake Park, Soweto, is a professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Orlando Pirates and the South African national team, Bafana Bafana.
Early Career and Development
Sesane began his football journey with Orlando Pirates' reserve team, Pele Pele, in the PSL Reserve League. His dedication and performance earned him a promotion to the senior team for the 2020–21 season.
Loan Spells and Challenges
In pursuit of regular first-team experience, Sesane was loaned to Jomo Cosmos for the 2021–22 season, where he made 15 appearances. The following season, he joined All Stars FC on loan, adding 29 caps to his name.
These periods were not without difficulties. Sesane faced challenges adapting to new environments and even considered quitting football during his time at Jomo Cosmos.
Return to Orlando Pirates and Achievements
Upon returning to Orlando Pirates, Sesane worked diligently to secure his place in the starting lineup. His efforts contributed to the team's success, including winning the 2023–24 Nedbank Cup and the 2024 MTN 8.
International Career
