George Matlou: “I Would Love to Stay at Kaizer Chiefs”
George Matlou, a talented midfielder at Kaizer Chiefs, has made it clear — he wants to stay with the club. But as things stand, his future is still up in the air.
The 26-year-old player from Soweto has had a tough season with injuries. And with his contract set to end in June, Amakhosi have not yet offered him a new deal.
Matlou Speaks Out
Speaking to FARPost, Matlou shared his hopes of staying at Kaizer Chiefs:
“I would love to stay at Kaizer Chiefs, of course. I’ll be happier and grateful if I were to stay. Being here has been good, and I would love to achieve great things with this team,” he said.
For now, he says his focus is on helping the team in the final games of the season.
“We want to finish strong, collect all the points, and of course, win the Nedbank Cup,” the midfielder added.
What Will Chiefs Decide?
So far, the club has not made any move to extend Matlou’s contract. With time running out, fans are wondering — should the club keep him or let him go?
