There have been many rumors lately saying that Pitso Mosimane might be going to Zamalek. The famous Egyptian football club is said to be interested in the South African coach. But is it true?
According to news reports, Zamalek is thinking about changing coaches after a poor performance in the CAF Confederation Cup. Their current coach, Jose Peseiro, may be on his way out after the team lost to Stellenbosch FC in the quarterfinals.
Because of this, Zamalek is now looking at different coaches to replace Peseiro—and Pitso Mosimane’s name is on that list.
Mosimane, who once led Mamelodi Sundowns to victory, is seen as one of the top options. He is respected across Africa for his success and strong leadership.
However, according to the Egyptian news site Zahraa, Zamalek has not spoken to Mosimane directly yet. A club source said,
“Only an agent made an offer. There are no official talks between Zamalek and Mosimane.”
Peseiro joined Zamalek in February 2025 on an 18-month contract. Right now, the team is sitting in third place in the Egyptian Premier League.
As the season moves forward, all eyes will be on Zamalek to see if they will officially make a move for Mosimane—or choose someone else to lead their team next season.
